Armand Lavoie has 40 years’ experience in the agriculture and food industry including as a dairy producer, a management consultant, an investor and advising mergers & acquisition transactions. He completed a Bachelor Science in Agriculture from the University of Alberta and a Master in Business Administration. He has been involved his family’s dairy farm based in Peace River, Alberta for 40 years. In the earlier part of his career, he worked seven years as the controller for the family farm. He continues to be active as Chairman of the board and CEO.

He is also currently Managing Director of Kirchner Group and heads the Agriculture and Food practice at the Kirchner Group advising companies exploring merger & acquisition transactions. He worked at Foragen Technologies Mangaement Inc. for fifteen years serving as Managing Director for the last ten years. At Foragen, he managed a venture fund that invested in agricultural technology companies across North America. He has served on various boards of companies in the ag sector in different capacities including as Chairman of the board, compensation and audit committees.

Prior to his role at Foragen, Armand was a Manager with KPMG, a global consultancy firm, working in their agricultural sciences practice area. He consulted for several agricultural companies including some projects for the dairy industry.
