Davon Cook from Pinion helps production ag businesses navigate the transfer of ownership and leadership between generations and make sound strategic choices for their business. In addition to working with individual families, her team facilitates 10+ farmer peer groups covering a range of strategic and technical topics. That interaction with a broad cross section of farms informs her work.
Davon grew up near Lubbock, Texas, on a cotton farm. After starting her career in Chicago at McKinsey & Company and ConAgra Foods, Davon returned to Texas to co-manage a cotton gin for ten years. After selling the cotton gin, she helped design ag investment projects throughout Africa for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and served corporate agribusiness clients as part of The Context Network. This global perspective on the industry brings useful context to production ag operations.
She is an agricultural economics graduate of Texas A&M University and the University of Illinois, including an MBA. She resides in northern Colorado and works with farms across the country.
